Flamboyant, determined, moody, friendly and sensible – That’s how Nikita Chauhan describes herself. She is an Emcee/Anchor/RJ living in Raipur. To utilize her RJ ‘s experience and to quench her thirst for being a forerunner in stage management, she chose this profession.
An ounce of performance is worth pounds of promises.
She says, her drive towards excellence and continuous self-evaluation is the driving force behind her. Moreover, she is also a model and a very good dancer. She says her confidence comes from the support of her family and her close-knit group of friends. She has high aspirations and imagines greatly about her work and future, and that’s what boosts her. In her free time, she is busy in self-promotions through creative utilization of social media.
On the greatest challenges of being an anchor, she says that “Holding a mic is a challenge in itself.” Knowledge, skills, and ethics are important and major drivers of confidence according to her. She has also won the Frankfinn Best Dancer award which remains her most loved accomplishment so far.
The biggest challenge of being an RJ/Emcee according to her is tackling of live and emergency situations without letting people know about it.
She has been on 90’s Not Out in Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM as RJ – Meethi Mirchi. She has been a presenter in the North Indian Champions League in Delhi for Neo Sports and has interviewed and hosted shows with Aamir Khan (PK), Kunal Khemu and Zoya Morani (Bhaag Jhonny), Manish Paul, Kunal Ganjawala, Ayushman Khurana, Md. Irfan, Fazil Puriya, Javed Ali, Radhika Madan, Kainaat Arora, Evelyn Sharma, Tochi Raina (Gal Mithi Mithi fame), stars of Tarak Mehta ka Ulta Chashma and the list continues.
Anchoring to me is so much more than livelihood, it is a platform to showcase my skills.
Nikita Chauhan was also the Face of CSVTU 2017. She continues to contribute as a social worker. In the past, she has taken dance classes for charity and grooming sessions in the remote area of Raipur too. She has also been the state coordinator for SPIC-MACAY which is a society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth.
As her short term goals, her focus is on making her daily events successful and memorable ones, while in the long term perspective, she wants to play contributing roles in national level events.
